Today my group and I came up with a list of codes and conventions of radio trailers after listening to various examples of existing radio trailers:
- Background music (sound bed)- relevant to topic
- Use of accents and languages
- Scheduling at the end of the advert (voiceover)- time, day, channel
- Clips from documentary may be used
- Sound effects
- Clear and well spoken voiceover
- Informal language
- Target audience addressed
- Voiceover asks questions- involves listeners
- Voiceover can be intercut throughout
- Around 30-40 seconds
- May use a slogan
