Questionnaire for Audience Feedback

During today's lesson my group and I created a questionnaire to be completed after a number of people have viewed our documentary and ancillary texts (results covered in question 3 of my evaluation):

Newspaper Advert Production: Screenshots

Whilst creating our print advert on Photoshop we took screenshots to show the production:

We firstly edited the image to make the eyes appear slightly redder and hence more sleepy looking.

We then added emphasis to the bags under the eyes to ensure the image conveyed tiredness, highlighting our topic of sleep.

We additionally made use of the lassoo tool to cut out the channel 4 logo before adding it to our print advert.

Then we began to add the text to the advert, beginning with the title and then adding our slogan and scheduling.

Lastly we placed black boxes behind the text, as this is one of the conventions of existing media products.

Drafting Newspaper Advert

My group today roughly planned out our print advert, ensuring that we follow the codes and conventions. We will be using an image of tired looking eyes (red in colour with large bags under the eyes), and will place the title and scheduling in a box in the lower left corner with the channel 4 ident on the right:

Codes and Conventions of Newspaper Adverts

After looking at a number of existing newspaper adverts we came up with the codes and conventions that we will have to follow when producing our own print advert:

Radio Trailer Production: Screenshots

Whilst creating our radio trailer on Adobe Premier Pro we took screenshots to show the production:

We began with a short clip from one of our vox pops featured in the documentary and then added the sound bed (lullaby) in the background.

We then edited our voiceover into smaller sections and placed them in the correct place, inbetween clips from our documentary.
